When you join ESKA Stevenage, you are not only becoming a part of a well disciplined club that has been part of the community for decades, you are being very much welcomed into a new family. Our teachings follow the path of traditional Japanese Shotokan and can be historically traced back to Gichin Funakoshi, the father of modern day karate. On a quarterly basis, ESKA clubs come together at the Stevenage Dojo (Club Honbu - Head training facility) to champion their Karate-Ka to demonstrate they are worthy of belt promotion. This is achieved by Karate-Ka performing syllabus driven Karate Kihon (Basic techniques), Kata (Set sequence of techniques) and Kumite (Set Defence & Counter and controlled sparring). | Father of Modern Day Karate

The ESKA Stevenage website is a community of fellow Karate-Ka that allows each student to manage their profile and membership monthly subscription online.
